About Me

Iā€™m Dr. Rachel Bucher, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in helping kids, teens, young adults, and parents navigate life's ups and downs. I value establishing a genuine connection with my clients and fostering a supportive, comfortable environment where they feel free to express themselves authentically.

Originally from Southern Maine, I earned my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Union College (NY). After working in a research lab at McLean Hospital, I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University at Albany, SUNY. During my clinical internship at Allegheny Health Network, I gained advanced specialized training in trauma-focused interventions in addition to working with youth and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and difficult life transitions such as becoming parents. In 2022, I (finally) returned to Maine to work at the Edmund N. Ervin Pediatric Center in Augusta, ME, and I'm thrilled to continue my practice back in my home state. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my child and two dogs, hiking, skiing, swimming, and cooking.

I strongly believe in the importance of finding the right connection between therapist and client. Whether we're tackling trauma, anxiety, or navigating transitions, my goal is to provide effective, compassionate care.
